Clergy

The clergy are the ordained spiritual leaders of the parish.

Rev. Stephen Elkins-Williams
Rector
(1985)

The Rector serves as spiritual head of the parish and is ultimately responsible for its worship, program, and administration. He is pastor, priest, and teacher, presides over the vestry, and supervises staff. Specific responsibilities include serving as liaison to the ABC Sale, the Adult Inquirers’ Class, St. Hilda’s Altar Guild, the Finance Committee, Hospitality, Lay Readers, Loaves and Fishes Guild, the Parish Discernment Committee, the Personnel Committee, the Stewardship Formation Committee (and its three subcommittees of Annual Giving, Special Giving, and Capital Giving), and Ushers.

Associate for University Ministry

The Associate for University Ministry leads the parish in campus ministry. She is pastor, priest, and teacher. She serves as liaison to Episcopal Campus Ministry, university faculty, and graduate student ministry, the University Ministry Advisory Council, and hospitality ministry.

Rev. Victoria Jamieson-Drake
Associate for Pastoral Ministry

The Associate for Pastoral Ministry leads the parish in pastoral ministries. She is pastor, priest, and teacher. She serves as liaison to Support Team Ministry, the AIDS Care Team, Foyer Dinner Groups, Good Samaritans Guild, Elder Ministry, Parish Visitors, the Prayer Chain, the Spiritual Life Committee, and the Global Missions Committee.

The deacon leads the parish in servant ministry. He serves as teacher for the Youth Inquirers’ Class and liaison to ARC of Orange County, Habitat for Humanity, the Social Ministry Committee, and the Global Missions Committee. He organizes services for and leads outreach to persons with developmental disabilities and serves as Archdeacon for the Diocese of North Carolina. Biography

Wylie S. Quinn
Organist/ Choirmaster
(1970)

The Organist/Choirmaster directs the music program of the parish and assists in liturgical planning. He conducts the choirs and plays the organ for weddings, funerals, and other special liturgies.

Christian Formation Director

The Christian Formation Director leads the parish in Christian education. She serves as the staff member for the Children and Family Ministry Committee and as liaison to the Micah Group, the Social Ministry Committee, and the Preschool at the Chapel of the Cross. She leads the Children’s Worship Program and directs Vacation Church School.

Kristine Dahlberg, Director of Stewardship and Development (2009) Oversees all aspects of stewardship for the Chapel of the Cross, including A Light on the Hill Capital Campaign, Annual Giving, and Planned Giving.

The Christian Formation Assistant work with the Christian Formation Director on specific tasks in all areas of Christian education, particularly organizing Children’s Chapel, the Youth Saint Program, Sunday Childcare, and Parent Gatherings.

The Parish Accountant manages financial affairs of the parish, including payroll, accounts payable, contributions, and financial reports to the treasurer.

Manager

The Facilities Manager oversees the daily operation of the parish facilities to maintain all systems in proper working order.

Assistant

The Administrative Assistant welcomes parishioners and visitors to the parish office. She provides administrative support to clergy and staff members, produces the Liturgical Calendar and maintains the parish data base.

Marty Rogers

Coordinator
(2007)
The Publications Coordinator produces service leaflets, Cross Roads, and other parish publications. He manages the parish computer systems and interfaces with appropriate contractors. He also assists the campus ministry program with communications, web site maintenance and general administrative support.
