Loaves and Fishes Guild

And taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven, and blessed and broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the crowd. And all ate and were filled.
Luke 9:16-17

Through the simple act of offering refreshment in a variety of settings, the mission of the Loaves and Fishes Guild is to nurture parish hospitality. We can be found every Sunday morning providing either coffee, from September to mid-June, or lemonade, from mid-June to September. In addition, the guild assists with parish-sponsored events that include hospitality and fellowship, such as Easter and Christmas receptions, the annual barbecue, and summer dinner-on-the-grounds. The guild’s thirteen teams are comprised of more than 50 volunteers led by team captains Jane Rody, Teddy Lovejoy, Ellen Cole, Gail Rummel, Emily Hassel, Chrys Bullard, Blair Evans, Liska Lackey, Margaret Wainwright, Joan Stynes, Carolyn Folds, Cricket Taylor, and Ann Wilson.

The sharing of food and drink is a fundamental way in which we develop bonds within our parish family. This act comes so automatically that we don't even stop to think about it. Yet it is this simple act that allows us an opportunity to share in God's bounty and share in fellowship that brings us closer together.

We invite you to join us in our work. You will enjoy camaraderie with other parishioners and know you have performed a vital service for the Parish. Liska Lackey
