Designated Giving
Unrestricted gifts are generally the most useful gifts in providing flexible funding for changing parish needs. There are occasions when gifts for specific purposes are both appropriate and very welcome. Please contact the rector, Stephen Elkins-Williams, if you have a specific gift in mind.
Bequests
The Book of Common Prayer calls upon us to recognize the duty that we have as Christians to make prudent provisions for the well-being of our families. As such, we are directed to make wills, while we are in good health, to arrange for the disposal of our temporal goods. In so doing, we are reminded to not be neglectful to leave bequests for religious and charitable purposes.
This calling in the prayer book is the cornerstone of Planned Giving. We are directed to plan for the future, which will always include the time when we are no longer of this life. That planning process starts with each one of us preparing our wills to dispose properly and thoughtfully of what we possess. We are directed to leave our assets as need be among our family, but we are also reminded that, when appropriate, we should remember the needs of others, particularly the needs of the church that serves us.
Please contact the rector, Stephen Elkins-Williams, to discuss any ideas of planned or special giving.
