Thompson Children's Home

Molly McConnell

"Share your heart and serve a child" is the Thompson Children's Home winter clothing drive. Running through January 9, the drive provides new winter clothes for children in the residential treatment program for abused and neglected children. Thompson Children's Home, an agency of the three Episcopal dioceses of North Carolina, provides residential care and services for children in court-referred protective custody with social service departments.

To participate, choose a heart from the display in the dining room, make the requested purchases, and return unwrapped items to the parish office. Financial contributions may be made by a check payable to the Chapel of the Cross with the notation "Thompson Children's Home Clothing."

For additional information about this project, contact Shannon Brownfield, (919)942-5464; Molly McConnell.

The Chapel of the Cross is providing visionary leadership in meeting year-round clothing needs of children at Thompson Children's Home. If you wish to sponsor a child's clothing and gift needs for an entire year, contact Tiffany Taylor, (704) 536-0375.
