Dear Steve,
The physical therapist who has been coming regularly finally "graduated" me Monday. Although there is yet a long way to go, I have a distinct feeling that I'm in the home stretch, probably through May.
In any event, it is now appropriate to express my thanks for the loan of a number of items borrowed from the medical supply closet. This largely unheralded program is living visible evidence that there are ways in which a large institutional parish like ours can live out a commitment to support one another as members of the family of Christ.
We were able to meet most of my needs for hospital-type equipment (wheelchair, canes, etc.) from the existing collection. It might be appropriate to make known more openly, the existance of such a 'lending library', and to invite parishioners who have currently unused items that are useful to add them to the collection.
In any event, we are grateful and shall happily return them after use.
