At its June meeting the vestry:
* Approved the production of a new pictorial directory to be completed in early 2003
* Approved the request of Parish Administrator, Barbara Hastings, for medical leave of absence without pay for up to 90 days and approved the continued payment of her health insurance costs for that time
* Endorsed the recommendation of the finance committee's plan for the development and adoption of the 2003 parish budget
* Approved the recommendation of the rector, finance committee, and stewardship committee that the parish become affiliated with the Consortium of Endowed Episcopal Parishes
* Heard that the pension fund for retired Housekeeper, Doris Cotton, will be depleted by the end of the year, and resolved to fund this pension from the regular operating budget of the parish beginning in 2003
* Heard that the auditors have returned a glowing report of parish finances for 2001
* Approved the appointment of Andy
Dobelstein, Pam Gibbard, Kathy Keating, and Steve Lackey as Chapel of the Cross representatives to the proposed board of directors for the local Community of the Cross of Nails center
* Heard a report from the ad hoc committee on Elder Ministry and approved the appointment of a special ad hoc committee to investigate ways of identifying at-risk parishioners and relaying this information to the rector and priest-on-call
* Approved sending a letter of commendation to Elizabeth Shows for her work as first director of the Johnson Intern Program.
