Beginning with the resumption of the regular Sunday morning service schedule on August 25, the 11:15 a.m. service will include the celebration of the Holy Eucharist each Sunday.

On the second and fourth Sundays of the month, which have regularly been Morning Prayer in this parish, we will continue to use Morning Prayer as the Liturgy of the Word as we now do on the third Sunday at the 10:00 a.m. service during the summer. This practice will allow the 11:15 congregation both to celebrate the Holy Eucharist together each Sunday and to continue to use regularly the canticles and collects of Morning Prayer.

While I know the discontinuation of 'Morning Prayer standing alone' will be a loss for some people, I firmly believe that regular participation in the Holy Eucharist will strengthen the worship and the community and the continuity of our 11:15 congregation. As the year moves along, I welcome your observations and reflections about how this hope is being realized. Thank you.
