At its September meeting, the vestry:
* Approved a change in the name of the Mission Fund to the Orange
County Mission Fund
* Approved the transfer of $1919.40 from the 150th Anniversary
Fund to the Orange County Mission Fund, which will close out the
150th Anniversary Fund
* Approved the transfer of $67,000 from Undesignated Gifts and
Bequests to the Orange County Mission Fund
* Authorized the Finance Committee to establish a budget for
the Orange County Mission Fund for the remainder of 200
* Accepted the Seminary Support Assessment from the Diocese
in the amount of $11,182 and approved the distribution of these
funds in the amount of:
$1182 to Seabury-Western Theological Seminary; and
$2500 each to The University of the South-Sewanee, Virginia Theological
Seminary, Berkeley Divinity School at Yale, and The General Theological
Seminary of the Episcopal Church
* Finalized plans for the 2003 budget process
* Adopted a proposal for “Listening to God’s Voice:
Planning for Our Future” to study long-range planning issues
* Set Sunday, March 2, 2003, as the date for the Annual Meeting
* Learned that Stephen Stanley has accepted a new diocesan responsibility
and will serve on the Committee on Justice and Peace
* Extended the medical leave of absence for Parish Administrator
Barbara Hastings to October 17, if necessary.
