A Study of the Book of Acts
Led by the Rev. Lisa G. Fischbeck, Orange County Missioner

ACTS: Proclaiming by Word and Deed the Good News of God in Christ.

Using the Book of Acts as our guide, this four-week series will explore how the Good News was proclaimed in the first century “in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth.” We will also explore how and whether the same approach can be used in the 21st century in Orange County, North Carolina.

Week One: Introductions and Overview

Week Two: Proclaiming by Word—the preaching and teaching

Week Three: Proclaiming by Example—the healing and the miracles

Week Four: Proclaiming by Example—the fellowship

The series is open to the people of the three parishes of Orange County and participants are encouraged to invite a friend.

The series will be presented at St. Matthew’s in Hillsborough on Thursday nights at 7:30, September 26, October 3, 10, and 17. It will be repeated at the Chapel of the Cross in Chapel Hill on Monday nights at 7:30, October 28, November 4, 11, and 18.
