Pet owners and admirers reserve Oct. 1 for our annual Blessing of the Animals celebration in the courtyard at 6:15 p.m. The service will include a Blessing of the Animals in observance of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi (Oct. 4).

Parishioners are encouraged to bring pets of all shapes and sizes; even favorite stuffed animals and photos of pets from home will receive a blessing.

In honor of our animal friends, the Johnson Interns will host a meatless potluck! Please bring generous amounts to feed at least 12 people (double recipes appreciated). If you own a dog, please bring a main dish. If you own a cat or rabbit, please bring a salad. If you own any other creature, great or small, please bring a dessert.The parish will provide beverages.
