At its July meeting, the vestry:
- authorized the senior warden to sign a one-year renewal contract with the
Preschool at the Chapel of the Cross
- authorized the senior warden to ask Bill Daniell to serve as parish chancellor for a term to expire in May 2005
- received a report from Teens United in Christ and expressed encouragement for this joint mission with St. Paul AME and Church of the Holy Family
- approved the request for diocesan support for the 2003 UNC- Chapel Hill Campus Ministry Budget
- authorized an increase in the credit limit on the Chapel of the Cross credit card from $5000 to $10,000
- authorized the senior warden to sign a revised contract with the Church Pension Fund to address the issue of inconsistencies between the contract and the parish’s personnel policies
- authorized a change in the personnel policies to delete any mention of age that is contrary to the rules of the pension fund for lay employees
- approved the 2001 audit
- approved the recommendation of the Social Ministry Committee for disbursal of $1500 from the SMC Discretionary Outreach line item to El Hogar to sponsor a boy for one year.
