Today
Parent Feeding our Families, Feeding our Families' Souls
Please join parishioners Anne Hoole and Christina Balderson as they share ideas for making family meals less stressful and more spiritual. Both Anne and Christina have professional catering experience and young children. They have been there - rushing from school to extracurricular activities to the table - and will discuss ways they have found to fit healthy meals into busy lives, encourage gratitude for the food we have and enjoy more meals with the family.
Changing Thoughts about Missions with Mr. Keith
After a quick survey of the history of Christian missions since the New Testament period, we will discuss the changes in missionary theology and practice during recent decades. John Keith was an Episcopal missionary in Nicaragua for five years (1966-1971) and has continued to be involved in mission work in Central America, especially in Honduras. He served Episcopal churches in Alabama for 35 years. John and Rilla moved to North Carolina in June to be near their daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren; and John became a Priest Associate in December.

Thank you to everyone who worked to make the ABC Sale a success! Tonight EYC will meet in the basement before heading out on the town. We will have dinner on Franklin Street and relax together! Announcements
Cross Roads Distribution
Due to illness - of staff members and printing machines - the April Cross Roads has arrived late in your home mailboxes. To avoid such delays and help the parish save on postage and printing costs, please consider viewing our parish newsletter on the web at www.thechapelofthecross.org. You may email a request to be removed from the paper mailing list to vvarner@thechapelofthecross.org or mrogers@thechapelofthecross.org. After receipt of your request, you will receive a monthly notification that Cross Roads is available online. Thank you in advance for making newsletter distribution more affordable and less harmful to the environment.
Food Hospitality for Funeral Receptions
If you have a little time to give for preparing some baked goods for funeral receptions, please call the parish office at 929-2193 and leave your contact information. Coordinators will be in touch with you as the need arises. Thanks in advance for this important work in the parish family.

Web-Site Assistance
The web site committee is searching for additional volunteers familiar with HTML and/or web editors to help complete the transition from our current site to a "new and improved" version and to keep the new version up to date. Committee members work in rotation posting Sunday Announcements, Cross Roads, vestry minutes, sermons, and other parish information. If you are able to help with this part of our parish's ministry, please contact Websexton Dwight Smith (DwightSmith@nc.rr.com) or Communications Coordinator Vivian Harris Varner (vvarner@thechapelofthecross.org).

Stewardship Opportunities
Our Freezer Is Bare
Help is needed in replenishing our freezer with nutritious casseroles and soups which are delivered to parishioners in need. Please freeze in small portions, label the ingredients and date your dish. These can go into the freezer in the dishwasher room. If you have questions or if you or someone you know needs food, please contact the parish office.
Updated List of IFC Needs
At the end of March, the most urgent needs of the IFC Food Pantry were as follows: dry cereal; spaghetti (dry pasta); cans of spaghetti sauce, pork and beans and soup; tea and coffee; travel-sized toiletry items; and paper bags with handles. Thank you to the children of the parish for their first Sunday food collections, and to all parishioners for continuing weekly contributions of food items.
The Johnson Interns Need Your Help!
Please donate new and gently used t-shirts, athletic shorts, socks and sneakers to the marked box in the dining room. Items will benefit participants of PACE, Chapel Hill's first walking group for homeless shelter residents. PACE (Physical Activity Creating Empowerment) cultivates relationships and empowers shelter residents to improve their overall health and wellness through their dedication to walking as a team. The insatiable power of the human spirit unites us as we move forward one step at a time.
