Next Step Committee

The committee submitted its Master Plan proposal to the vestry on May 13, 2006, fulfilling its mandate. It is no longer active. The Master Plan Steering Committee is carrying forward the recommendations of the Next Step Committee.

Here is a web version of the Master Plan Document.

Here is a timeline of how the current plan was developed.

Here is the Program Review Committee's May 13, 2006 interim report to the vestry, including a list of requirements that the master plan was working to meet, and a table showing how the master plan fulfills those requirements.

The remainder of this page is kept for those who are interested in the history of the committee and the steps leading to the master plan that was submitted.

The Long-Range Plan Next Step Committee is responsible for carrying out the recommendations of the parish Long-Range Plan submitted to the Vestry in May 2004. The committee will review the Long-Range Plan recommendations and propose a plan for the most effective means of implementation; establish and monitor an implementation timetable for the various recommendations; facilitate the hiring and direct the work of consultants for design and fund-raising; and call on the Long-Range Planning Committee subcommittees for expert advice, as required. The chair of the committee will report directly to the Rector and Senior Warden and will make periodic status reports to the Vestry. The committee will conclude its work as the various recommendations are implemented but no later than September 30, 2005.

Ted Vaden is designated to serve as chair, with the other members to be appointed by the Rector and Wardens in consultation with the chair.  The Rector, Sr. Warden, Hospitality Committee Chair, Program Review Committee Chair, and Treasurer are ex-officio members.

The Next Step Committee is charged with executing the Long-Range Plan of the parish. The committee currently is working with the church's architects to design a master plan for parish facilities. The committee welcomes and encourages parishioners' input and feedback. You may contact us as follows:
