The ABC SALE needs volunteers not just on the day of the sale but during the week before the sale as well. You can help as much or as little as you like. Most departments set up schedules. Below is a brief description of all the different departments and opportunities and days to volunteer .
Volunteering is a great opportunity to meet new people while working to create something really special together! An added perk: volunteers get a chance to shop early on Friday afternoon at a premium.
Set-up: On Sunday afternoon, 3-5 p.m. March 10: We need volunteers to help create the sale space. This involves some heavier lifting as we move furniture out of rooms and sale supplies into those rooms.
Clean-up: Saturday, 2-4 p.m. Help deconstruct all sale departments: Move all unsold items to be donated to our partner, TROSA. Return sale supplies to the attic. Fast paced and satisfying!
Each sales department needs help during sale week from Tuesday, March 12-Friday, March 15th to sort, organize and price items for sale. Pick a department that interests you: Cooks, Linens, Children’s clothing and toys, Men’s and Women’s clothing and accessories.
Sorting: Be the front line, from Tuesday, March 12 to Thursday, March 14, to make sure that all items to be sold fall under our standard of: Would you give this to a friend?
Garden and outdoors: Friday, March 15 and Saturday, March 16: If your passion is for plants and all things out of doors, this is the department for you!
Bake Shop and Hot Dog Stand: Bakers are needed to drop off baked goods on Friday, March 15. We need folks to run the sales booths for both the Bake Shop and the Hot Dog Stand on Saturday 16
Bag Check: Sale hours.
Parking: Saturday, March 16, 7am.
Shop For Free: Help escort some of our ministry partners through the sale as it wraps up, 12:30 – 2p.m.
