The Spiritual Life Guild at The Chapel of the Cross invites all parishioners to register for an Advent Day of Reflection at Camp New Hope (4805 NC-86, Chapel Hill, NC 27516) on December 9th. 

We are pleased to announce that our annual event will be led by The Rev. Dr. Lauren F. Winner, Vicar at Saint Joseph’s Episcopal Church, Durham, NC.  She is also Associate Professor of Christian Spirituality at Duke Divinity School, author of several books and a sought-after speaker.  Dr. Winner’s title is Apple Trees, Blooming Roses: How Advent Invites Us into the Natural World.  Music will be a part of this program.  We will start at 9:00AM with arrivals beginning at 8:30AM for coffee, light breakfast fare and fellowship.   A simple lunch with GF and Vegetarian options will be provided, and we will have a prayerful closure with departures at 3:00PM. 

Please note, if spaces are available on November 23rd, the event will be opened to additional parishes. The event fee of $20 is to be paid with your on-line registration. Hard copy registration forms are available at the Welcome Desk (beginning October 30) if preferred; fees will also be accepted at the welcome desk.  Scholarships are available to assist with the registration fee if needed.
