Blessing of the Animals
October 1 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Our annual Blessing of the Animals service will be held at 4 p.m. on October 1 in the Church. Please bring your furry friends to enjoy this special service.
The Creation Care Committee is sponsoring a pet food and supply drive to recognize St Francis of Assisi Day and to assist the Orange County Animal Services in its efforts to care for dogs and cats in their no-kill shelter. As you may have heard, shelters are at capacity region-wide, and their resources are stretched thin. They indicate that they can use donations of cat and dog food, supplies, or monetary gifts and we, as a parish, can make a difference to these animals while they await adoption.
The Orange County Animal Shelter has an ongoing need for pet food and supplies to get the animals in their care healthy and ready for adoption and maintain them until the dogs and cats find their forever homes. Parishioners will be able to drop their donations off in a collection vehicle conveniently parked in the church circle for the day on October 1, including before and after the Blessing of the Animals service at 4 p.m.
