The Rt. Rev. Peter James Lee, bishop-in-residence of the Chapel of the Cross, and 12th bishop (retired) of the Diocese of Virginia, died on July 2, 2022. Bishop Lee served as the Rector of the Chapel of the Cross from 1971-1984. A funeral service will be held in the church on July 15, at 2:00 P.M. Overflow seating will be offered in the chapel, and the service will be livestreamed. A reception in the parish hall will follow the service.
