Giving Tree 2022

The Giving Tree, an Advent project to assist those in need in our
community, has evolved over the years. We are enabling those who
wish to shop remotely two Target registries, with shipment made
directly to either UNC Horizons or Orange County Social Services.
Also, lists are provided for those who wish to shop in person.
We will be helping two community agencies this year.

UNC Horizons
The UNC Horizons Program is a substance-use treatment program
for pregnant and/or parenting women and their children, including
those whose lives have been touched by abuse and violence. It is a
program of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UNC-Chapel
Hill. These young moms appreciate being able to choose
items from the donations we provide to select items for their children
and themselves. Of note, multiple copies of journals were requested
for the women to collect ideas on their recovery process.

Wish list:

Legos, train sets, magnetic tiles, board games, hot wheels, infant toys,
bath and body sets, diaper bags, rain coats, boots, umbrellas, wrapping
paper, arts and crafts kits: stencils, sweatshirts-adult, 2023 wall
calendars, journals.
