This week we will welcome special guest expert Andre D. Vann to discuss the history and legacy of lynching in North Carolina. 

Andre D. Vann, archivist, author, griot, and educator is the Coordinator of the University Archives and Instructor of Public History at North Carolina Central University. He has authored or co-authored several publications including African Americans of Durham County (2017), Sedalia and the Palmer Memorial Institute (2004), Vance County, North Carolina (2000), and Images of America-Durham’s Hayti (1999). Listen here to Andre’s interview with Frank Statio on WUNC’s “The State of Things.”
