Choir Rehearsal Schedule:

• Tuesday, 4:00 – 4:25 pm: Cherub Choir (ages 4-5)
• Tuesday, 4:30 – 5:10 pm: Novice Choristers (grades 1-2) and Tuesday, Treble Choristers (grades 3-12), 5:15 – 6:15 pm:Wednesday, 6:30 – 8:45 pm: Adult Choir

Cherub Choirsters

We learn about matching pitch, steady beat, and other musical fundamentals through fun and engaging activities.

This training choir rehearses each week for twenty-five in the choir room. For more information contact the Worship, Liturgy and Music Coordinator, Carlee Baldwin.

Novice Choristers

Open to all first and second graders, the Novice choir provides the opportunity to learn principles of music such as rhythm, dynamics, diction, memory, blend, and group singing. 

One of the primary goals for each chorister is to recognize his or her own voice as a gift from God, and in so doing, to foster a lifelong love of singing. Choristers also learn to understand their importance as young liturgical leaders, gaining valuable skills in anthem- and hymn-singing.   The Novices sing once a month at the 9:00 Sunday service, and rehearse in the choir room on Tuesdays 4:30-5:15pm.

Treble Choristers

Open to all third through twelfth graders, this group provides the opportunity to learn principles of music such as rhythm, dynamics, diction, memory, blend, and group singing. This group sings every Sunday at the 9am service (as schedules allow) and rehearses in the choir room on Tuesdays 5:15-6:15pm. The choristers are leaders in all aspects of worship, including special services such as Evensong, and Lessons and Carols. Most recently, this group had the opportunity to sing alongside the adults for a week-long residency at Ely Cathedral, and the Temple Church, London.

Adult Choir

The adult choir has a varied membership, including high school trebles, changed-voice boys, college students, and adults with a variety of musical backgrounds. This choir sings for 9:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. services (10 a.m. during the summer), and frequently on holy days or at special musical services throughout the year. The repertory consists of choral music from every period from the medieval to the present.  Rehearsals are held in the choir room on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:45 and one hour before services. Occasional longer or additional rehearsals are held as necessary. If you are interested in singing in the choir, please email Carlee Baldwin. There is no formal audition, but a meeting with the Director of Music is needed for voice placement.
