Lenten Day of Reflection

February 21 @ 9:30 am - 2:00 pm

Labyrinth: A Journey Through Lent

Our day will be led by the Rev. Phillip Bass, priest at Beloved Community at the Trees, an Episcopal congregation in Durham County dedicated to helping people heal from religious trauma. In addition to his pastoral ministry, Phillip is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with a private practice in Chapel Hill, NC. His clinical work often focuses on religious trauma, faith deconstruction, and questions of belief.

Together, we will gather for a time of reflection as we prepare for the journey through the season of Lent. Using the labyrinth, we will explore what we are ready to lay down and what we hope to receive along the way.

After gathering for coffee and fellowship at 9:00AM, the program will begin promptly at 9:30AM with our first teaching. Our lunch will offer both vegetarian and gluten-free options. The day will conclude around 2:00 PM. There is a $30 registration fee with scholarships available (contact Boykin Bell at bbell@thechapelofthecross.org with scholarship requests). If you have any questions about the day, please contact David Riddle at driddle@chppnc.com
